Archiving for cost reduction Our main objective was to refine the primary storage infrastructure, aligning it seamlessly with the organization's data demands. We implemented archiving policies to reduce storage costs associated with multiple S3 buckets, each holding 100TB+ data.
Lifecycle policies for efficient data management Our team seamlessly migrated legacy data to S3, leveraging lifecycle policies. This ensured a cost-effective and streamlined approach to data archiving.
Automated lifecycle management We deployed AWS Lambda functions with scheduled triggers to automate the movement of objects older than 90 days to a designated directory. Further, objects were transitioned to Amazon S3 Glacier as per the configured lifecycle policy.
Data integrity Our team ensured data integrity throughout the archiving process with our meticulous strategy, providing a secure approach to disaster recovery and backup.
Observability & reliability Furthermore, we leveraged AWS CloudWatch to log and monitor the application metrics. This enhanced observability and provided in-depth insights into the application.
