We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Operations Research Analyst to join our team. As an Operations Research Analyst, you will utilize your expertise in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques to solve complex business problems and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, conduct analysis, and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
You’ll be responsible
- Conduct research and collect data to understand business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimization strategies.
- Develop mathematical models and algorithms to simulate and analyze various operational scenarios.
- Apply statistical analysis techniques to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define problem statements, formulate hypotheses, and design experiments.
- Use operations research software and tools to create models, perform simulations, and generate forecasts.
- Evaluate and validate models by comparing their outputs with real-world observations and historical data.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommended solutions and measure their impact.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in operations research methodologies and tools.
- Continuously improve and refine existing models and analysis processes based on feedback and evolving business needs.
The good stuff we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in operations research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Operations Research Analyst or similar role.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with proficiency in mathematical modeling and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in using operations research software and tools (e.g., SAS, R, MATLAB, CPLEX, GAMS, or similar).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis concepts and experience with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present complex analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in industries such as logistics, supply chain, transportation, or manufacturing is a plus.
